The A4CYU StoryFourteen Years of Impact
Alliance for children and youth Uganda is Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that started in 2012 with a commitment of empowering communities affected by Poverty to meet their needs. We envision a society where all Children and Youth live to their full potential and their rights and aspirations are fulfilled. Our services are delivered through a community and family-oriented intervention model. We implement programmes in seven thematic programme areas of Child Protection & Youth Care (CP&YC) Social Economic Empowerment (SEE), Environmental Conservation and Disaster Risk Reduction (EC& DRR) Basic Education and Adolescent Development (BEAD), Reproductive Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (RMNCH), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Nutrition and HIV/AIDS (NHA) in development and emergency contexts.
The organisation is headed by a competent and functional board of directors who formulate policies and provide strategic direction to the secretariat. The secretariat does implementation of the project activities and ensures that program is implemented component by component.
Ending AIDS in Children In 2022, the Global Alliance to end AIDS in Children by 2030—a partnership with governments, networks of people living with HIV, UNICEF, WHO, UNAIDS, the Global Fund, PEPFAR and key implementers—was launched at the International AIDS Conference in Montreal.
